Blood Pressure Monitoring
Community Care’s Blood Pressure program is a free blood pressure monitoring service provided to city residents with the co-operation of local pharmacies throughout the region. Once a month in several drug stores in Lindsay and Fenelon Falls, trained Community Care volunteers are on site to measure blood pressure and to provide advice and assistance with any warning signs of cardiovascular disease or stroke. Having blood pressure measured and monitored in a familiar community setting such as a local pharmacy or health team, with the assistance of a trained volunteer, can help people overcome barriers to effective monitoring and control of blood pressure. For further information about the blood pressure service, contact Clinical Program Manager Margot Fitzpatrick (mfitzpatrick@community-care.on.ca), (705) 324-7323 ext 111.
