Emergency Response

Volunteers and staff assist with installation of LifeLine System devices; alarm devices that can be activated in case of emergency. Those who are experiencing poor health due to aging or illness can live comfortably knowing that help will come “at the push of a button.” Installation costs and monthly fees apply.
Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes is pleased to partner with Philips Lifeline, Canada’s #1 Medical Alarm, trusted by more hospitals, doctors and professional caregivers.
Lifeline is an easy-to-use medical alert service that lets users summon help any time of the day or night – even if they can’t speak. By pressing the Personal Help Button, worn on a wristband or pendant, a trained Personal Response Centre Associate will ensure the individual gets helps fast.
The Lifeline service is ideal for anyone who:
– lives alone or is alone a good part of the day
– is at risk of falls
– manages a medical condition or is recovering from surgery
– has a caregiver who needs greater peace of mind
