Award of Excellence
Community Care’s Specialized Transportation program was recently recognized by a community service partner for its contributions to health care provision to local residents. Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay awarded the first-ever James Ross Award of Excellence for an external partner to the agency’s Specialized Transportation program. Each year, the Specialized Transportation program provides close to 10,000 rides to residents in need of a wheelchair or stretcher-accessible vehicle. Working closely with many departments at the Ross, the program provides support and relief to the City’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) department.
