Community Care

Bobcaygeon Short Film Festival

Close to 100 people attended the Bobcaygeon Short Film Festival held Sept. 4 in support of Community Care. This first-time event received rave reviews from the public and the nine different local groups and agencies which took part in the information and display portion of the Festival.

Nine different films were shown at the Bobcaygeon-Verulam Community Centre. In addition, patrons were treated to snacks at intermission, provided by the community groups that were also offering information about how to get involved by volunteering with them or other local agencies.

Corporate sponsorship of the Bobcaygeon Short Film Festival was provided by: Adventure Outfitters of Lakefield and Port 32/Marshall Homes of Bobcaygeon (patrons) and Kawartha Dairy, Bobcaygeon branch of the Bank of Montreal, the Dunsford and District Lions Club, Sevink Real Estate, My Favourite Things and Elaine Bird Registered Massage (supporters).

Suggestions for next year’s event are welcomed and can be made by e-mailing comments to the organizing committee at:  bobcaygeonshortfilmfestival@gmail.com
