2011 Care Walk
Conditions could not have been better for the second annual Care Walk in support of Community Care’s Meals on Wheels program on June 18 in Lindsay. More than 60 participants, including several enthusiastic teams from the agency and the community, helped raise more than $7,600 in pledges and corporate sponsorship. The Walk was held on the Rotary Trail in Lindsay.
Top three fundraising teams in the Walk were:
1st: Fenelon Falls Walkers (winners of a team pizza party)
2nd: Adelaide Place
3rd: Tahiti Treats PSW Team

Meals on Wheels service is offered in several different communities throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes. Volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to the home, and frozen meals can be purchased as well.
